Ganesh Himal Standard Trek

  • Group Size : 4 to 14 people
  • Elevation : Up to 4,041m
  • Start From : Kathmandu, Nepal
  • Start on : 5th April 2024 , 4th October 2024

The Ganesh Himal is a sub-range of the Himalayas with nine towering peaks at elevations reaching up to 7429m. It lies in the central region of Nepal, northwest to Kathmandu. The 21 days trek includes ascension to Paldor Peak (5896m) which lies in the southeast part of the Ganesh Himal. Both the treks take you to the Keraunja Health Post in the Keraunja village, a tiny impoverished village whose people live with little amenities. The Keraunja Health Post has opened with the collaboration of Sponsor Trek Nepal and Iceland T & E almost 16 years ago and still runs by their joint effort.

The Ganesh Himal trek goes through places rich in a variety of vibrant, colorful flora: a wide array of beriberi, orchids, yellow jasmines, rhododendrons, and many more. The trek also immerses you in the lives of rural Nepali people as it passes through the Tamang and Gurung villages, whose people have rich and unique cultures.
